He was welcomed by project engineers, CHEC leadership, and local authorities for a comprehensive tour of the ongoing construction works.

During the visit, Minister Zeledón expressed his appreciation for the technical expertise, commitment, and operational efficiency demonstrated by China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC). He acknowledged the complexity of the project and praised the quality and progress of the work carried out to date.

Reaffirming the national importance of Route 32, which serves as a critical freight and logistics corridor for the country, the Minister emphasized the government’s support for the project and its commitment to expediting pending administrative procedures, including payments, to ensure continuity and timely completion.

CHEC reiterated its dedication to delivering the project to the highest standards while strengthening its role as a trusted partner in Costa Rica’s long-term infrastructure development. The visit underscores the productive collaboration between public authorities and the private sector in driving forward transformational infrastructure.
