We are proud to announce the official delivery of the Chancay Port Project in Peru, a transformative infrastructure development that is set to redefine maritime logistics and trade connectivity in the region. With the issuance of the delivery certificate, the project has been formally completed and handed over—marking a major milestone in Latin America’s port infrastructure landscape.

Launched in June 2021, the Chancay Port Project involved the construction of key infrastructure components including breakwaters, deep-water berths, access roads, and supporting facilities. Designed to serve as a modern multipurpose terminal, the port is strategically positioned to become a critical hub for trade between South America and Asia.

The project reached a historic moment on November 14, 2024, when it was inaugurated during a virtual ceremony attended by the President of the People’s Republic of China and the President of the Republic of Peru. This high-level event underscored the strong bilateral cooperation behind the project and its significance as a symbol of international partnership and regional development.

The successful completion of Chancay Port reflects the dedication, coordination, and technical excellence of all stakeholders involved. It also highlights China Harbour Engineering Company’s (CHEC) role in delivering complex, high-impact infrastructure that drives economic growth, creates jobs, and fosters global connectivity.
