The project conducted a realistic emergency drill simulating a fall into water at the steel trestle bridge construction platform of the west main tower.

The drill tested the emergency response to a high-risk situation and involved all major departments in coordinated actions:
• Incident reporting
• Traffic control
• Search and rescue
• Medical transfer and on-site assessment

The entire exercise lasted approximately 20 minutes, with effective communication, precise execution, and strong teamwork throughout. Following the drill, the project team, together with the owner, supervision team, and regional safety authorities, committed to conducting a full review to refine emergency procedures and strengthen inter-agency coordination.

By organizing this series of impactful safety activities, the Panama Fourth Bridge Project has successfully reinforced a culture where safety is everyone’s responsibility, and emergency preparedness is a shared priority. These efforts lay a solid foundation for safe, high-quality, and uninterrupted construction as the project advances into its next stages.
