On July 14, Panama’s national television channel TVN aired a 20-minute prime-time special on the Fourth Bridge Project, drawing widespread public attention.
The report highlighted that overall construction progress has reached 22.6%, with current efforts focused on foundation works that will support the subsequent substructure and superstructure. Around 1,000 local workers are already engaged on-site, a number expected to rise to about 3,000 at peak construction next year.
TVN emphasized that the Fourth Bridge is the largest infrastructure project currently under construction in Panama. Once completed, it is expected to handle 35,000 vehicles per day, significantly easing chronic traffic congestion, improving connectivity across both sides of the Canal, and boosting tourism and economic development in the region.
This special coverage not only showcased the project’s progress in depth but also strengthened public awareness and confidence. As a landmark project dedicated to improving mobility and quality of life, the Fourth Bridge embodies Panama’s aspirations for modern infrastructure. Moving forward, the project team will continue prioritizing safety, quality, and efficiency to deliver a world-class project that serves the people and supports sustainable growth.
