On October 25, the Montego Bay Project convened a meeting to coordinate preparedness measures for Tropical Storm Melissa. The session was held in a hybrid online–offline format and attended by 20 participants, including members of the Emergency Command Leadership Team and representatives from partner units.

The meeting emphasized the importance of close monitoring of the storm’s trajectory and thorough readiness across all teams. Key points included:

  1. Enhancing coordination among teams to promote mutual support and build a strong, unified safety defense.

2. Strengthening awareness and maintaining a bottom-line mindset to ensure zero complacency in disaster prevention.

3. Reinforcing accountability and advancing disaster prevention, mitigation, and relief efforts while supporting local community needs to enhance the project’s public image.

4. Conducting detailed inspections of drainage systems, temporary facilities, and perimeter structures to eliminate potential risks.

5. Ensuring effective management through strict implementation of 24-hour duty systems and timely reporting on employee safety.

Prior to the meeting, the project’s Emergency Command Team conducted a comprehensive inspection of all work areas, identifying potential hazards and issuing on-site corrective measures to ensure all safety protocols were in place.
