With a total length of 23.96 kilometers and 16 stations, Bogotá Metro Line 1 is the city’s first-ever metro system—an achievement nearly 70 years in the making. The project includes construction, operation, and maintenance over a 28-year period, and stands as the largest franchise infrastructure project in Latin America.

Once completed, this transformative project will significantly ease traffic congestion in Bogotá and improve daily mobility for approximately 2.9 million residents, marking a major milestone in Colombia’s urban development.
